Welcome to Womanhood Coalition…
Deciding to start therapy may not be an easy decision, this takes a lot of courage, and we’re grateful that you’re here.
Working with Amber…
My purpose is to fearlessly advocate for women of color, create communities of supportive individuals, and help clients gain access to essential resources. I’ve intentionally focused on perinatal wellness because I have personally experienced the feelings of isolation, shame, grief, overwhelm, and guilt associated with motherhood. After each of my three children were born, I had to fight my way back to feeling like a whole woman again.
Womanhood shouldn’t be a constant battle and you don’t have to navigate this journey alone. We will talk about your network of support, steps to adequate rest and nutrition, self-care, mindfulness, sexual expression, cultivating positive energy, and having personal goals outside of career and parenting. Together we will create a plan to overcome trauma, grief, and insecurities. Therapy is not about giving advice or providing solutions. You already have everything you need to make meaningful and lasting changes.
Are you ready to be more calm, confident, and intentional? By participating in skills groups and individual therapy, clients are equipped with tools, strategies, and education that will help to improve their relationships, establish and enforce boundaries, enhance communication skills, advocate for autonomy, and reduce feelings of emotional distress.
